Welcome to St. Paul Lutheran Preschool
St. Paul Lutheran Preschool supports children's learning in all academic areas as well as focuses on social and emotional development. We have a Christ-centered curriculum which supports positive moral and personal development. We also believe the family as a unit is essential to the development of a young child. We care for the entire family spiritually and educationally
To help young children grow into confident students, the curriculum coordinates preschool program goals with families' expectations of educational excellence. Through teaching practices, well designed learning environments, and enriched activities, teachers ensure preschoolers have joyful, appropriate, and meaningful learning experiences that lead to success in school and in life. St. Paul Lutheran Preschool helps children create amazing childhood memories!
Is giving a child a Christian education Important?
The preschool is a ministry of St. Paul Lutheran Church. The church is committed to supporting quality education for young children. The Bible teaches us that Christian education is an essential part of childhood.
Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it. Proverbs 22:6
Fathers, do not provoke your child to anger, but bring them up in the discipline and instruction of the Lord. Ephesian 6:4
To ensure the children have a good foundation, we integrate Christian education into all parts of the curriculum through listening at Chapel, reading and listening to Bible stories, engaging in prayer time and enjoying music.
We attend Chapel two times each week. This is an age appropriate interactive experience with a Bible story, songs, prayer and offering. Our goal is to introduce the children to church and the Bible. The pastors of St. Paul Lutheran Church often attend and participate in the services
Bible Verses and Stories
Each week we have a Bible verse for the children to learn about. Our goal is for children to learn the Bible is God's word, God created everything, Jesus is God's son, and God and Jesus love us! Each week the children will have hands on learning experiences connected to a Bible verse or story including art, science, math or outdoor activities
We lead the children in prayer before meals and before rest time. We offer simple prayers which the children often memorize. We encourage the children to speak directly to God through prayer.
We sing Christian songs including Jesus Loves Me, God is Good, This Little Light of Mine and many more favorites! The children enjoy singing each day with their teachers and learning new songs during Chapel time.
